I took on the challenge of creating a protective fabric envelope to carry button trays in when bringing them to shows or meetings. And because I like to up-cycle, I chose to make the envelope from cloth placemats that I bought at a thrift store. The placemat color is pretty, the fabric is sturdy and the condition of them is like new. I was tickled to get them both for just a $1! Sewing up the sides and bottom was quick work on the machine. I am happy to share some visual instructions. |
