​Creating With Buttons Program

The National Button Society is excited to announce an additional member benefit for 2021! Its new Creating with Buttons Program will feature four quarterly Zoom craft workshops and eight button craft tutorials on Youtube. The first two are available to all button lovers. The rest will be available to NBS members only.   Click on the images to the right to connect to the first three tutorials.

Plans for the Zoom craft workshops include artists’ demonstrations on how to make a button bowl, button bouquet, button heart,  and creative button mountings. The button craft tutorial videos on YouTube provide directions for making framed button art, jewelry, holiday items and more. Participants will be encouraged to share their creations. This new resource for enjoying buttons is in response to NBS members’ increased interest in using their non-collectible buttons in artistic ways. The Creating with Buttons Program also includes a dedicated site on the NationalButtonSociety.org website that features button crafting photos and instruction sheets.

“No-Harm” button crafts support the National Button Society’s mission to preserve all that is beautiful and historic in buttons. Membership in the NBS is $35 annually. Visit NationalButtonsSociety.org to join.
