Creating With Buttons--
BUTTON BOUQUET
Saturday, June 12, 2021-- 2-4pm
I will be presenting a Button Bouquet tutorial that will give you ideas on how to use interesting little salt shakers and miniature vases to show off your pretty buttons. They make unique thank-you gifts and holiday gifts as well. All you need are buttons, floral wire and tape, a bit of greenery (optional) and pretty containers.

I will explain in the tutorial how to make the pictured miniature shoe display and various flowers in the bouquet below..

Dill Buttons from Germany

I got about 3 dozen cards of Dill Buttons the other day at an estate sale.

The headquarters of the Dill button factory is the German town Bärnau in Bavaria. The town lies between Nuernberg and Prague. Buttons have been manufactured here for more than 100 years and the town in the heart of Europe became the button center of the world.

The town of Bärnau has a museum which is globally unique – the German Button Museum. Here visitors can find out about the history of button production in Bärnau through text and images, as well as exhibition items - some of which are of historical value.
