The Button Scavenger Hunt on Feb. 21 was a super fun success!. Eight of us Hernando County Button Collectors Group members spent 45 minutes looking through the clothing racks at our local Goodwill to find garments with the prettiest buttons. Cynthia Speciale's gold metal weave and pearl button was chosen as the winner. Three buttons were in contention...we had to ask the Perkins Restaurant server to break the tie! 
 I hope everyone who attends the Button Scavenger Hunt on Feb. 21 will bring their pretty button discoveries to this Monday meeting!
The Hernando County Button Collectors Group's next meeting will be held on Monday, February 26. This month we will salute Valentine's Day and National Heart Month by bringing in our favorite heart shaped buttons and red buttons. I got very inspired by two terrific illustrations from 1958. I added some of my collection of red buttons and created this!  |
