I was tickled to receive this note from a buyer of my "Haiku for Button Lovers" book. It feels great to help spread the love of buttons and poetry!
I love creating button bouquets to give away as gifts. I fell in love with a "vase" of button flowers that I gifted to my sister-in-law and decided to do a painting of it to have the images forever. I's done in acrylic paint 11" x 14".  Quite a few of the visitors to our Vintage Buttons table had fun putting on our "Queen of Buttons" crown and taking a selfie. Actually we volunteered to take their photos with their phone cameras. It was a good day and we may have recruited a few new group members!
 Sometimes it's hard to get attention at an event. It is often not enough to just set up a table and try to draw potential button lovers to you. To create some fun at an upcoming "History Day" I transformed a couple of Burger King crowns into photo opportunities as "Button Queen" and "Button King" for event-goers. A guest can either take a selfie or have one of our members take a photo of him or her or both.   I lucked upon this pretty blue frame with gold trimming in a thrift store not long ago. It turned out to be the perfect way to make some of my lovely blue buttons pop!   Anne Buckingham and I had a lot of fun being interviewed by Virginia Johnson of Bay News 9. We really appreciate the station's coverage of our Florida State Button Society Meeting & Show.
